The Touch World Cup 2011 brings together a wide range of participants from all over the world. Within the various national representative teams there are many individuals who have their own unique background.
Australia, Guernsey, Jersey and Papua New Guinea are the only countries who have not applied for any player eligibility exemptions or player clearances.
There is a player representing Catalonia who has an Italian passport and who was born in Chile.
There are three players from one family representing Belgium who hold Australian passports.
There are 16 players who have previously represented one country and who are representing a second country in Scotland. Each has received a player clearance and has now used their first and only 'change of country' in accordance with the FIT Eligibility policy.
There is a girl representing New Zealand in June who represented Australia in January.Don't worry about the three year residency eligibility requirement for this one, as she is under 18 years of age and the policy doesn't apply to minors!
